It's all about APIs! - Globe Labs Developer Day - 11.23.13

Join us as we showcase our new set of APIs—SMS, Voice and Charging/Payment on November 23 and 24 for "It's all about APIs! - Globe Labs Developers Day".

So what's new with Globe Labs APIs (beta):
- Three APIs: SMS, Voice and Charging.
- RESTful API Interfaces.
- Monetization opportunity for developers using the Charging/Payment APIs. With the Charging APIs, developers have now the options to charge users via the subscribers' prepaid load or charge-to-bill, when a subscriber uses their app or service. Also included is refund or reversing workflow for charged transactions.
- GCASH Integration for API top-up and developer settlement.
- Automated Subscriber Consent Workflow (Opt-in and Opt-out)

It's all about APIs! - Globe Labs Developers Day will include workshop sessions, and a hackathon until the afternoon of November 24. The agenda of the event is as follows:
23 November, Saturday
- 9:00 AM: Registration
- 9:30 AM: Overview of the APIs (SMS, Voice and Charging/Payment)
- 10:30 AM Create your Apps using APIs
- 11:30 AM: Monetization and marketing the APIs
- 1:30 PM: API Wrappers and Developer Tools
- 3:00 PM: Hackathon (23 Afternoon to 24 November, Lunch)

24 November, Sunday
- (Hackathon continues from Saturday)
- 12:00 NN: Deadline for all hacks.
- 1:30 PM: Start of judging

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops or computing machines, and join the hands-on sessions and hackathon afternoon of the event. Create apps or services which leverage any of the new Globe Labs APIs (SMS, Voice, Charging) and get a chance to be one of the selected apps that will be rewarded of PHP 40,000* + 5,000 pesos worth of API credits.

We also encourage developers to build apps or services that entrust social responsibility, especially apps that would address the needs of those affected by Typhoon Yolanda to make donations, monitoring, relief operations, and other activities easier for the government, NGOs, private organizations, and the community.
